What I Was Feeling: When We Visited Gatsby's Mansion

Daisy and I visited Gatsby’s mansion in that raining afternoon. Even though I had come to his party before and known his house was huge, I was again surprised by it when we actually came in. His house seemed to have everything you could ever imagine, and its lavish style shocked me a lot. Usually I felt my small cottage was comfortable enough to live, but now it looked poor under the big contrast. Gatsby guided us to walk around his mansion, and lead us to his bedroom. When I saw he throwing all kinds of shirts to Daisy, I felt like I was in another world where he was the king of universe and Daisy was his queen. I was happy to see them be together, but also felt a little sad since I knew that time would last long. Daisy cried in piles of new clothes, saying that she had never seen such beautiful shirts. I suddenly felt bad for Gatsby. I thought Daisy was happy because she was again close to Gatsby, but it seemed those beautiful shirts made her even happier. I was so confused. I did not know what Daisy liked was Gatsby that person or just the wealth he had right now. I also confused if Gatsby knew this fact or not. Suddenly I just felt everything had changed and my heart became much heavier than it was when we came. Gatsby and Daisy were still hanging around in the mansion, and I truly hope for this time my feeling was wrong.
